My Love For Food

I always love being in the kitchen with my mom since I was in the fifth grade. So when I went to school for business administration it was not what I really liked or what I want to be, the subjects were very dull and boring to me but I finished it and graduated. At home, on my own with my own family, husband, and kids I always find my self in the kitchen creating something for all of us to eat and enjoy. So I thought about going back to school. But to study something I’m good at something I love spending most of my time doing it. So I entered the culinary school to learn all about food and flavors from all over the world and to achieve my goal of becoming a chef that has the knowledge and the experience to be very successful in what I’m passionate about. Cooking, baking or anything has to do with food and flavor is what I want to learn and be good at it. I feel great when some one taste my food and enjoyed it. It is always my pleasure to make and present food that’s looks amazing and tastes delicious.

  1. Cooking was something my father and I did growing up :) it was our thing. I enjoyed being in the kitchen with him and creating new flavors or making old ones better. But I felt weird doing that outside our kitchen so I haven't cooked since he left. Did you cook what is in that picture? It looks great!
What types of cuisines do you like to make?

  2. I am not the greatest cook, but I can honestly say that I love to do it anyway jaja. Living alone I had no choice, but to learn (one semester of culinary class in high school did pretty good). The image is really making me hungry though. I have never tried anything that looks like anything on that table. I should probably ask you to give me some pointers on food recipes. jaja

  3. If that is what your usual dinners look like... DAM! Everything in the picture looks like something I've never tried before.. but it sure looks good! What is that yellow stuff? I want to guess corn bread but I know I'm wrong! LOL
I really enjoyed looking through your blog.. I like learning new things, and I defiantly learned something interesting that I didn't know before. (Like the fact that veggies are an important part of the main course in most dishes)!

  4. I love that you include delicious food in you blogs, way to go Yasmin, me and Dulce are in a diet. lol! I can also relate to you, I went to school for criminal justice and had a 7 year career for law enforcement, but everyday I knew in my heart that I needed to do what I love. I came to the Art Institute for Fashion Marketing, and i don't regret leaving my career behind for this one. It's unexplainable the feeling you get, when you know that you are on the right path to success with a talent that you were born with! Good luck. :)

  7. That looks a lot like my table on holidays. Colorful, well laid out food. Everything looks perfectly executed and delicious. I felt the same way when I went to Pima for my general education. I was bored and classes lasted forever. All I could think about was cooking and how much better that would be for my future. You can't fight your true passions.
